Contentment Psychotherapy

Welcome!

If you’ve landed here, something in your life may feel unsettled. Perhaps you’re carrying anxiety that won’t quiet, grief that hasn’t found words, relationship patterns that repeat, or a quiet sense that you’ve lost connection with yourself. You may look competent on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unseen.

Therapy offers a unique kind of mental health support that is different from everyday conversation. It is a confidential, steady, and thoughtful relationship where your inner life is taken seriously. Together, we slow things down. We listen for the deeper themes beneath symptoms as we explore not only what is happening but also why — and what your experience may be asking of you.

My approach is depth-oriented and relational, focusing on your story, your dreams, your history, and the patterns that shape your choices. Rather than rushing toward quick fixes, we work toward meaningful understanding and lasting change, promoting personal growth along the way. Therapy can be a place of relief, but also a space for integration and renewed vitality.

Whether you are navigating a life transition, struggling in your relationships, facing burnout in your professional life, or simply sensing that 'something isn’t right,' you do not have to face it alone.

I invite you to reach out. Let’s begin a conversation about what mental health support might look like for you.

Why Therapy, Why Now

Not all challenges in life are specific diagnoses.

Often times we are challenged with the human condition called life - our Psyche is not well.

You may find yourself struggling with:

  • Difficulties in relationships
  • Divorce
  • Abusive relationships
  • Major life changes
  • Blended families and step-parenting
  • Retirement, Career Transitions, Work Difficulties
  • Burnout
  • Grief
  • Sense of unfulfillment in life
  • Seeking a desire for wholeness and meaning
  • Spiritual exploration
  • Strong intuition that something is not right on the inside of you

Your symptoms may manifest in different ways:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Turmoil
  • Dissatisfaction
  • Inner sense of being lost
  • A multitude of feelings worthy of examination, curiosity and healing.

My Approach - A Holistic Depth-Oriented Perspective

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Georgia and Florida. I offer in-person sessions in the Marietta, Kennesaw, and Smyrna areas, as well as Telehealth services for clients throughout both states.

My work is informed by Jungian and depth-oriented psychotherapy, along with person-centered, psychodynamic, and existential approaches. Together, these perspectives allow us to engage the full complexity of your inner world—not just symptoms, but the deeper layers of meaning beneath them.

So what does this look like in practice?

Our work together is not about quick fixes or surface-level solutions. It is a collaborative, non-directive process rooted in presence and attention to what is unfolding in the moment. We listen closely—to your thoughts, your emotions, your patterns, and the subtle movements of the psyche.

Over time, themes begin to emerge.

We begin to notice the story that is living within you—the one that has been shaped by experience, relationships, and the unconscious. Rather than trying to override or eliminate this story, we approach it with curiosity. We gently “excavate” it, bringing it into awareness so it can be seen, understood, and related to in a new way.

Your inner narrative has served a purpose. It has protected you, adapted for you, and helped you survive. And yet, what once protected you may now be limiting your capacity to live more freely and fully.

This work is not about forcing change, but about deepening awareness.

Curiosity becomes the pathway—an opening into a more honest relationship with your whole Self. Through this process, something new can begin to emerge: greater clarity, a sense of integration, and the possibility of living in a way that feels more aligned and authentic.

Therapeutic Dreamwork

"Dreams come to us in the spirit of health and wholeness" - Jeremy Taylor

Dreams are a pathway to our Psyche.  While we sleep our dreams continue to work to heal us and offer us insights about ourselves.  Our dreams speak in a symbolic language - in our work, we can incorporate your dreams to explore the story being told inside of you.

My Story

After spending 32 years in the corporate world - I made a major life pivot to move into the counseling field.

After a difficult period during my career, which I dubbed my 'flame out' period, I chose to take stock in what I desired in my life and the direction I wished to go professionally and it was not remaining in a technical field.  The universe has a way of realigning itself with your path in life.  Early in my college career, I held an interest in mental health and took a detour to Engineering and my corporate life.  My burnout brought me back to my original interest.  Back to grad school I went!  My desire and drive was strong and over a ten year period of paralleling my corporate job and counseling studies, training and working with clients - the tortoise (me) crossed the finish line and was able to retire and move fully into my encore career of counseling.

I bring to our time together wisdom - a mix of logic and heart - in an effort to understand your world and struggles and every so often we will laugh together too!

I work with age ranges of 14 through 70s for individual therapy.  I do not offer couple's therapy.

Therapy really is custom to each individual.  The approach I take is not a fixed timeline.  The best person to determine if therapy is complete is you.

It is important for your therapy work that we both agree the therapy relationship between us feels like a good fit.  I will work to collect your basic history and why therapy for you and why now.

My current rate is $150 for a 50 minute therapeutic hour.  At this time, I do not take insurance but am happy to work with you to compile a super bill to submit to your insurance company.

Yes.  Privacy and confidentially in the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance.   Strict confidentiality between therapist and client changes only when it is determined that someone’s personal safety is in jeopardy.
